At HMC we actively encourage our staff members to expand their professional skills through educational and development opportunities. Each year a significant number of our employees participate in some component of our in-house training programs. The core curriculum enables employees at all levels to develop their skills in four key areas:

  • Management and Leadership
  • Investment Management
  • Legal, Compliance and Operational Control
  • Information Technology

Many HMC employees have also pursued professional certifications and post-graduate degrees with the financial support of our tuition reimbursement program.

Our Commitment to the Community

Our employees share a common sense of pride in serving the mission of Harvard University, as well as our broader community. Through a series of Volunteer Days each year HMC employees have contributed hundreds of hours to community programs such as the Greater Boston Food Bank, Cradles to Crayons, and the Salvation Army. At the beginning of each school year HMC employees donate over 100 backpacks full of school supplies to elementary and high-school students served through The Home for Little Wanderers.
